To Write: Nils Juul-Hansen, The Hermit Papers
Artist Nils Juul-Hansen, the Friendly Hermit, will read part of his new book on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in 25 minute sets at 2:00pm and again at 3:00pm.
He will also show artwork from his Water series.
Refreshments, including his homemade Chai, will be served.

Nils Juul-Hansen is a resident of Smithville, TX, USA, a small town, off the beaten path, 40 miles east of the Austin International Airport. Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, with time well-spent in Miami, Los Angeles, and Austin, the small town suits this artist. An autodidactic photographer and producer by trade, NJH specialized in national and international advertising campaigns for major brands such as AMD, Purina, and H&R Block, capturing the spontaneity of people with his slice of life portraits. The focus on water was a new direction into the natural world with a more personal, introspective, lens. NJH is working on a book about finding daily joy in the simplest of ways in a complicated world based on the Danish concept of "Hygge".
